Bands of Color
On a late fall road trip we unexpectedly came across Lake Abert, in the south-central area of Oregon, about 30 miles north of Lakeview. Abert, one of the largest lakes in Oregon, has no outlet, water can only leave through evaporation. Bands of color caused by the reflections of the blue sky and the effects of alkali deposits made this a picture waiting to be taken.
